Convicted Ashanti Stalker Back in Jail For More Harassment
An Illinois man who spent time in jail for stalking Grammy winner Ashanti didn’t learn his lesson the first time. David Hurd was indicted on Friday in state Supreme Court in Manhattan for harassing and stalking the former Murder Inc. songstress again.
According to the AP, a prosecutor in the case claims Hurd violated an order of protection after he sent over 100 tweets to the “Never Should Have” singer on Twitter between Sept. 2012 and last weekend. Some tweets were reportedly sexual.
35-year-old Hurd was sentenced to 2 years in jail back in February 2010 for sending harassing photos and messages to Ashanti’s mother.
He is being held on $750K bail and will be arraigned next month ff@smoothmedia1
